Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how voolama LLC dba Airport Online ("Airport Online", "AO", "we", "us") handles personal data when you use our websites and services, which provide US airport information (flights, parking, dining, lounges, ground transport and hotels) together with an optional vendor marketplace and advertising. We have written it to be readable rather than legalistic.

Who we are

voolama LLC dba Airport Online is the operator of Airport Online and the data controller for the personal data described here. We are registered with the Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations under number G25000103249.

You can reach us about privacy at hello@airportonline.org or by post at 507 N Washington St, Suite #110, Jacksonville, FL 32202, USA.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service. The categories below describe what we may hold, depending on how you use Airport Online.

  • Account data — if you create an account, your email address and a one-way hash of your password (we never store passwords in plain text). You may optionally add a display name.
  • Analytics data — anonymous or pseudonymous usage measurements (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) collected only after you consent through our cookie banner.
  • Order and marketplace data — when you buy from a vendor through our marketplace, the items ordered, order status, contact details you provide and the payment confirmation returned by our processor. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Cookie and device data — identifiers and preferences stored in cookies or similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.
  • Communications — messages you send us by email or contact form, so we can respond and keep a record.

How we use your information

We use the data above for clearly defined purposes and nothing incompatible with them.

  • To provide the website and remember your preferences, including which airport you are viewing.
  • To create and secure your account and to authenticate you when you sign in.
  • To process and fulfil marketplace orders and keep you updated on their status.
  • To understand, with your consent, how the site is used so we can improve it.
  • To show relevant advertising where you have consented, and to measure its performance in aggregate.
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
  • To comply with our legal obligations and to detect, prevent and address fraud or abuse.

Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on the following:

  • Contract — to provide an account or fulfil a marketplace order you have asked for.
  • Consent — for analytics and advertising cookies, and any optional marketing email. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and improve our offering, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting and other duties that apply to us.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Airport Online, and only as needed for them to perform their role under contract.

  • Payment processing — Stripe processes marketplace payments. Your card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored on our servers.
  • Email delivery — a third-party email provider sends transactional messages such as order confirmations and account notices.
  • Hosting and infrastructure — our application and databases run on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States.
  • Vendors — when you place a marketplace order, the relevant vendor receives the details needed to fulfil it.
  • Legal and safety — we may disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public.

Traveller data and data minimisation

Most of Airport Online can be used without an account. Flight, parking, dining and similar information is presented from third-party and official sources and does not require us to identify you.

We deliberately keep traveller data to a minimum: we avoid collecting personal data we do not need, and we do not sell personal data to anyone. Where a feature can work anonymously, we keep it that way.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site and, with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies. You can review and change your choices at any time through the consent banner.

For full detail on the cookies we set and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy at /legal/cookies.

Data security

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the data we hold, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly if an issue arises. You can learn more on our security page at /security.

Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as long as the law requires.

  • Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted on request or a reasonable period after closure.
  • Order records are kept as long as needed for support, accounting and legal obligations.
  • Analytics data is retained in aggregated or limited-period form according to our settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including to access, correct, delete or export it, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@airportonline.org. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. You also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority.

Children's privacy

Airport Online is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We operate from the United States and our infrastructure is located in the United States. If you access Airport Online from another country, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
